A new take on marina homes with a captain's walk.
These houses were developed at The Ford Plantation, located in Richmond Hill, GA. The Plantation is south of Savannah, GA, and was created as a luxury retreat, complete with golf courses, equestrian facilities, and a marina.
These houses are located near the marina, and take their architectural language from the traditional sea captain’s houses. There were three primary models designed, each with similar first and second floors. The third floor was where the models were significantly different, ranging from a small enclosed room with a widow’s walk, to an entirely enclosed room with movable wall windows installed.
These homes were executed under prior employment; my role was Project Architect and Project Manager for Dawson Wissmach Architects.
